Dear Members,
In a small town like ours, speculation can sometimes surface — even when it isn’t based on facts. Recently, vague and anonymous claims have been made about financial concerns within the Chamber. These claims are unfounded, but because our reputation is precious, I want to address this openly and directly with our valued members. We’ve welcomed a third-party review of our books to reaffirm what we already know: every dollar is carefully accounted for, and transparency is at the heart of what we do.
What truly defines us is the joy we bring to our community and the pride we take in serving it. We are volunteers, giving our time not for recognition, but because of the joy it brings to see families smiling at the circus, neighbors gathering at the Lake Life Festival, or our town lighting up together around the brand-new 26-foot Christmas tree we’ve worked so hard to make a reality.
That is the heart of the Chamber. This is why we serve. And this is what we will continue to focus on: creating moments of joy, connection, and pride for Mannford and our business partners.
Thank you for standing with us, for believing in our mission, and for sharing in the joy of building a stronger community together.
With gratitude,
Lexie Dorius
Treasurer, Mannford Chamber of Commerce
P.S. Your trust matters deeply to us. If you ever have questions about Chamber finances or activities, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly. Our books — and our doors — are always open to our members.
